TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BOOKING WITH DARVER CASTLE

In the interest of safety, guests must observe the rules and regulations in place in relation to health and safety, fire and licensing and must observe all management requests.

Cancellation Policy:
All cancellations must be made in writing via email or via telephone to our reservations team and must be acknowledged. If you cancel your booking more than 7 days before your arrival date, no cancellation penalty will apply. If you cancel your booking between 7 days and the date of your arrival, a booking deposit of €50 will be lost from the full amount paid and is non-refundable and your credit/debit card may be charged for the full amount of your stay.

Room Details:
As we are an exclusive wedding venue, we do not offer some facilities that a traditional hotel would offer. All rooms have televisions, hairdryers, are en-suite with a shower, with complimentary bottled water and tea & coffee facilities. Should you require anything extra during your stay please do let us know prior to your arrival.

Arrival and Departure:
Earliest arrival and check-in time is 3pm. Latest check-out time is no later than 11am on your departure date, apart from Castle guests which is 12 noon.

Payment of Room Balance:
Please note that we reserve the right to debit the card used to pay the reservation deposit with the balance due without notice if check-in does not occur before 5pm on the date of arrival.

Food and Alcohol:
You may not bring hazardous, illegal or dangerous items, illegal substances, food, drink or alcoholic beverages into Darver Castle. We reserve the right to remove any such item found in Darver Castle and/or ask any guest breaching this rule to leave Darver Castle.

We reserve the right to refuse to serve alcohol to any guest who is in the opinion of our staff behaving inappropriately due to over consumption of alcohol. We reserve the right to request any guest to leave Darver Castle who is acting in an improper or disorderly way or who refuses to comply with any management request.

Lost and Found Policy:
We are not responsible for any loss or damage of personal property, equipment or wedding gifts left on the premises by you. Lost and found items are retained for one month; if unclaimed and/or not collected within this period, they are disposed of.

Damaged/Stolen Policy:
In the event that you cause any damage to Darver Castle or any property thereon (including furniture, fixtures or fittings then you will be liable for the full cost of repairing the damage or, at our option, replacing the damaged property.

Similarly, in the event that any property is stolen from Darver Castle (including hangers, towels, bed linen, ornaments and books) you will be liable for the full cost of replacing the stolen property with an equivalent item of similar value.

Smoking Policy:
Smoking is not permitted in the bedrooms and we reserve the right to impose a fine of €150 in order to cover the cost of cleaning the room as a result of a guest smoking in the bedroom.

Rates:
All rates quoted are subject to availability and include a full Irish breakfast served in our breakfast room within the Courtyard. All rates are inclusive of V.A.T. at the time quoted to you.  In the event of there being a change to the V.A.T. rates between the time of your booking and your arrival date, the most up-to-date V.A.T. rate will be applied to your booking at the time of your stay. Occupancy at any time, for any reason is limited to the number of persons agreed as per your confirmed booking.

Breakfast:
Breakfast is served the next morning in our breakfast room located within the Courtyard Area at Darver Castle, breakfast is served between 8.30am – 10.30am.
